June has come and gone

June has come and gone. I have to say that it was fun and different. The biggest event of June was my Daddy dance with my grand daughter Addie, at her recital. My oldest son Colt , Addies' father, had to take a job that requires him to work out of town most of the time. So he asked me if I would take his place in the Daddy dance. The daddy dance is set up so dads can dance with their little girls their first year of dance. Addie and I practiced every Friday, Saturday and Monday of the month of June. Addie and I were great. The dancing Santas (me) and the little helpers (Addie) was a big hit. My daughter Skylar Paige also danced in 8 dances that night. She is so awesome.
My youngest son Tyler and I restored an old Go Cart together. What a project. We took a 9-hp motor off of an old generator that I had laying around and modified it to fit the Go cart. Wow can you say fast! We clocked it at 40-mph. The Go Cart has so much torque and power that we wore the nobs off the pulling tire the first weekend.
July will be my month for getting food plots ready and the trimming back of all my walking trails to my food plots and stands. I will be starting on two new food plots this year, and will be blogging about my progress as I go, so look for those blogs in the coming weeks.

John, the dance with your grand daughter sounds like a great time. My grand daughter is only 6 months old, but when she gets older I would be happy to do the same with her. The go cart also sounds like a good project for father and son to work together on.
